Context: Yoḥanan gives us the biblical definition of sin - it is LAWLESSNESS (Greek: anomia), which means "without Torah" or "against Torah."
Application Today: Sin is not just "bad things we know are wrong" - it is specifically breaking Torah. If Torah is abolished, then sin doesn't exist. But sin clearly exists!
