Bible in a Year: Β Genesis 7β9Β Β Matthew 3
All His saints are in Your hand. β
Deuteronomy 33:3
On his deathbed, British preacher Charles Simeon smiled brightly and asked the people gathered in his room, βWhat do you think especially gives me comfort at this time?β
When they all remained silent, he exclaimed, βThe creation! I ask myself, βDid Jehovah create the world or did I?β He did! Now if He made the world and all the glory of the universe, He certainly can take care of me. Into π€π€π€
π€'s (God's)Β hands I can safely commit my spirit!β
Hudson Taylor, founder of China Inland Mission, in the closing months of his life said to a friend, βI am so weak. I canβt read my Bible. I canβt even pray. I can only lie still in π€π€π€
π€'s (Godβs) arms like a little child and trust.β
Both Simeon and Taylor knew that the almighty π€π€π€
π€ (God) who created the universe was holding them in His hands. Moses had the same assurance when he blessed the children of Israel before he died (Deut. 33). They could face the future with confidence because the Elohim (God) who had delivered them would also preserve them.
We certainly need not be fearful, then, as we enter a new day.Β π€π€π€
π€ (God) will never forsake His redeemed children. We can rejoice that our great Creator holds us in His hands. And thatβs true for every child of π€π€π€
π€ (God).
Reflect & Pray
The Elohim (God) who made the firmament, Who made the deepest sea, The Elohim (God) who put the stars in place Is the Elohim (God) who cares for me.
The Elohim (God) who holds the universe is the Elohim (God) who is holding you.
