Whipping Boy

Throughout history, royal families have received special treatment. Often they were exempt from keeping the law or receiving punishment or even discipline. But the royal children still needed to know that when they misbehaved they deserved to be punished. When a prince or princess disobeyed or did poorly in schoolwork, the punishment was given to a “whipping boy” instead. There was no doubt who was really at fault, but it was simply unthinkable for a servant to spank a person of royalty.

The cross of Calvary gives a completely different view of dealing with wrongdoing. Although the servant is at fault, royalty receives the punishment. 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 (Jesus), the Prince of Glory, took our place when He died on the stake (cross). He voluntarily became our “whipping boy” and paid the penalty for our sins.

How much we owe to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 (Jesus)! How could we ever forget that we have been bought with a price! Many people in religion have decided that the laws of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (God) don't apply to us and our lives.  They believe that because our Messiah was beaten and killed for our sins that they are able to take advantage of the \"whipping boy\".  Our Messiahs sacrifice should only give us the drive not to keep on punishing our King of Kings.  Turn today from our wicked ways.  The only way we know what sin is, is from the Torah.  Without the Torah we have lost our way and have only resent our Messiah to the stake.

May that motivate us to tell others about our Elohim, His Torah, and His Son!
